Adnexal Neoplasm
in Octogenarian
81-y-o male with long-standing
plaque-like neoplasm on forehead.
Histologically, infiltrating epithelial tumor with horizontally arranged trabeculae of
crowded epithelia in the deep dermis. Histologic pattern of eccrine acrospiroma/cylindroma
overlap. Immunohistochemically, CAM 5.2 and focally CEA-positive; only rare EMA-positive
foci.
Question: Adnexal neoplasm.........? Infiltrating variant of eccrine
acrospiroma? Apparently very rare pattern of comparable adnexal tumors in the
elderly.......
