Langerhans-cell histiocytosis
75-y-o female with
multiple papules and seborrheic macules. In the intertrigines "papular
dermatitis".
Histologically epidermotropic infiltrate consisting of large histiocytic cells with
"coffee-bean"-like nuclei. Histologic clue: epidermotropic infiltrate of large
histiocytic cells in conjunction with a pityriasiform/psoriasiform scale-crust.
Immunohistologically tumor cells express the CD1a antigen.
